INK Magazine

About INK

INK Student Magazine is a student run initiative to promote Student Voice, Student Welfare and to add an essence of innovation and creativity within the student community.

The idea for a permanent student magazine came to Matthew Tam (West Island School) as he headed the Student Olympic Magazine for Beijing 08'.

He then began recruiting and organising this new student initiative during the beginning of Summer 2008.

Since then, INK Magazine has rapidly evolved from a small idea to perhaps one of the largest student organizations in West Island School (the founding school).

Moreover, It also has students contributing towards the organisation from all over the ESF (The English Schools Foundation).

Nowadays, the organization has a significant presence in KGV and Island School.

Mission and Values

(Think Student, Think INK.)

INK Student Magazine believes that through the publication of the Magazine that it would be able to contribute and fairly represent the Student Voice within our Student Communities.

It is through Student Voice that will improve Student Welfare and promote more students to expressive themselves through Art, Articles and other elements which contribute towards the creation of the Magazine.

(Creativity and Innovation)

Creativity is one of the Magazine’s core values. We truly believe that students in INK will be able to use their creative mindset to benefit the Student Community.

Creativity is often undermined and looked down upon by others; however, INK utilizes your brilliant ideas to benefit local and international communities.

(Servicing and Giving)

INK is committed to use extra funds left over from Operational Costs, Printing Costs and Others costs to donate money to the improvement of school facilities and equipment.

Furthermore, we are willing to donate a portion of funds to local/international charities. More details will be posted about this development in the future.
